Our Crown Princess Mary Obsession #6

We still have a few obsession posts left. I want you to know, those of you who have participated and those who have been reading, that it has been a truly pleasure for me to be the one to write your stories. To get to know all of you and your Crown Princess Mary fascination. Even though there's no more for me to write you are always welcome to write your story because I'll be more than delighted to share it right here! This time we hear from Chris. Take good care of her, she's an amazing woman!
Chris, please tell of a little about yourself and how did your fascination began?

"I was born in 1954 with a special form of asthma. In that time the medication was not like it is today. I could no always play and run with my friends, I sat at home and cutting photo's from the magazines and newspaper photos of the royal family. As a child I loved the glamour and the glitter and the fairy tails. I pasted the photo's in a scrapbook and that's how it all began." She tells that even though the medication got better through the years, she kept the childhood interest in cutting and pasting such as a new interest: "... I also started to interest me in the history of these royals family's."
'Like a dream' -this is how Chris describes this gown

What about the interest in Crown Princess Mary, how did all that start?

"There were always new princess' so I could go on collecting but in 2004 Crown Princess Mary came into my life..." Chris have a very special memory of a specific day of Mary when she wasn't married to Crown Prince Frederik yet: "... I never forget the day her hat blow away, she wasn't married yet - she was so beautiful, so natural and elegant. Now, years later she still is." Crown Princess Mary is also a great inspiration for Chris especially when she is out shopping: "I don't have skirts or dresses like Mary's but when I'm going to shop I will always think - What would Mary wear?" I don't think Mary and her style will ever go out of date, I'm 20 years old and her style is as great an inspiration to me as many of you might find her.

How do you treat this obsession, by that I mean how has this become an obsession to you?

"Today I don't use notebook's anymore. I've scanned a lot of it and not I download most of it and I will keep on doing this..." The next thing Chris tells is something I really know anything about. In my first obsession post #1 I told you about my own personal story, you might remember that I told you about all my magazines and one more thing - all my folders. I have plenty of them and actually I'm not the only one, go on reading right here: "... I have maps with Mary's shoes, a map with her dresses etc. - to be honest I also have maps about the other royals as well." Yeah, I'm not the only one!

The AICHA clutch is Chris' favourite!

Chris had a really good friend who bought several things to her when she was in Denmark and then she discovered Style of Mary. "Years ago I had a friend and she was so in love with a Danish man and 2 or 3 times a year she went to Denmark to see him and then I gave her some money to buy me magazines and newspapers. I did not understand a single word but I had all the photo's of Mary and her events." That's a thing I have heard so many times from most of you, you would so much like to be able to read Danish or just understand it. Well go for it! It is a pretty hard language to learn but nothing is impossible. The great thing is that many news about the royal's and Mary is on english because of the internet. It's possible for us to reach the entire world with the english language.

You mentioned my blog; what does Style of Mary mean to you?

Style of Mary have brought me so much joy which I hope is the case for all of you as well. Chris have I known for quite some time. The truth is, when you enter the world of royalty you become a part of a wonderful community and quickly you get so know so many different and sweet people. I never imagined that I would know so many amazing people. "I don't know exactly when I discovered this blog Styleofmary... I was so happy because of all the information's and all the links. In Belgium there is not so much info about Crown Princess Mary and her family, so I was very happy when I found Styleofmary. She was and still is my favourite princess." An opinion she shares with most of us.  "... I love the way Mary is dresses, it is possible for us to get dressed the same stylish way. I have the same feeling with the Duchess of Cambridge."
Chris love the Lotus earrings!

Some call of crazy, does your loved once say the same about you?

"Martin (Chris' husband) and I have been together for the last 30 year. When we got to know each other I had stacks of scrapbooks and books everywhere! At first he though it was a bit strange hobby to have but he let me continue with my beloved hobby, without any comments - he had to ha ha!

... And we have to keep up our passion not matter what everybody else thinks or say!
Do you have anything you wish to do with your Mary-obsession?

"I really want to go for a visit to Copenhagen next year with the hope to get the chance to see Mary myself!"

Get an Everyday Wardrobe like Mary

Mary is known to be one of the best dressed women in the world. She is an inspiration to women, young and old, all over the world with her great sense of fashion. Personally she has been an icon to me for now many years. Her style is her own with a twist of the latest trend from Hollywood as well as Denmark. A true style icon. What makes her so stylish is the fact that she's wearing something she likes, clothes that suits her and one more important thing to remember is she is comfortable in what she's wearing. The clothes does to take over her wonderful smily personality. Mary have a style to admire. Well, yes she has a wardrobe with all the greatest designers, luxurious handbags, finest leather shoes and gold jewellery and still she's fighting for women and children in-and outside Denmark. Which profits she has. As the Crown Princess of Denmark Mary has a personal stylish who helps her with everything new and fashionable but I'm pretty sure Mary would not wear something she loves. I think she one of these women who will be remember for her sense of giving style its own meaning. When she's in public; her hair, skin, clothes and everything else are perfectly places so nothing goes wrong. You know, the hairdo and flawless makeup will last the entire day with no single change. I would love to know these little tricks!

The reason for this post, if there should be any, is my passion and fascination for Mary's clothes not just any clothes - her everyday fashion. Not all of us have the personal style or job to wear the same as Mary. Therefor I have picked out some of her everyday outfits which I love and use as inspiration. Those outfit's which a bit casual without being boring. I really hope you'll enjoy reading this and gives you inspiration for your next outfit. Maybe you will find yourself dressed just like Mary when you leave the house tomorrow. Let the admiration begin!

On a December evening last year 2014, Mary and the rest of the family visited Tivoli in Copenhagen. The royal family are use to the attention but Mary was almost glowing in the dark. With her youngest daughter, Princess Josephine in her right hand, she was so good-looking in her new Zara poncho, a white Temperley London turtleneck sweater and black leather trousers. A really eye catching outfit she added a pair of heeled dark brown boots too. The body-cross bag was stylish and practical.

This was taken one of my favourite time a year, when the entire royal family are on a little vacation at Gråsten Castle. Then we get a little sneak peak in how the family act when they are outside the focus of the press and everything is just more relaxed - such as the dress coat. Last year Mary surprised many of us with a turquoise maxi dress and despite the sunny weather it featured long sleeves, in a shear fabric. The dress was found at Ganni. To a dress like this Mary wore brown Prada leather sandals, a bright yellow pendant from Ole Lynggaard and her Marrakech-inspirred Louise Grønlykke earrings.

2013 was a big year for Princess Isabella, the 6 years old Princess started school. At her first day at Tranegård school on August 13 she stepped out in front of Amalienborg Palace, a little nervous, with her proud mom and dad. This is also a great example of who Mary dress privately. The different components was in only black a white without being boring at all. This far you can get with just a lace blouse, hers is from Isabel Marrant, a pair of black capri trousers, a few jewellery (necklace Ole Lynggaard) and snake printed pumps - Mary chose her Christian Louboutin. They gave her casual look the last finish.

With Frederik and the two oldest children, Mary attended the Olympic Games in London in 2012. Even though it was an official event the family was there in a more private errand. Only in a short time a day they were followed by the press so maybe it is a sami-everyday outfit. She showed so many wonderful looks at this trip and this is one of my favourite. A casual outfit was given some accessories and it went from casual to Princess-stylish. The old goodie of a white and red Strenesse dress was in the combination with the navy blue Zara jacket and the brown pointed pumps a great copy-outfit. With only white pearl earrings, Marianne Dulong, this would work so well as a work wear.

Pregnant with the twins in 2010 Mary attended the yearly Hubertus Hunt Rave in Dyrehaven near Copenhagen. This has been a tradition for the royal family to do for many years, this was no exception. Wearing warm green socks, Ralph Lauren boots and a Missoni poncho such as a grey turtleneck blouse, Mary and the twins were dressed perfectly for this family gathering. The reason for me to choose this outfit, is to show that winter wear does not have to be boring in plain colours. Match several colours and stand out like Mary!

Mary atteneded a private birthday party at her friend Amber in 20.. dressed wonderfully in a brown strapless jumpsuit. Mary is not often wearing jumpsuits it shows that even though there's something you do not wear usually it is not abandon to do sometimes. With matching accessories, like the bronze Christian Louboutin peep toe pumps - they make her legs seems longer - filigree earrings and a leopard Prada clutch. Less is more!

Crown Princess Victora married Daniel Westling in 2010 and se the Crown Princess of Denmark Mary also attended. She arrived with Prince Christian to Stockholm for a rehearsal because Christian will take part in the ceremony, as his mother Mary did of course attend the rehearsal dressed magnificent in a white pencil skirt, a coloured tunica and her snake print Christian Louboutin pumps. I could see this as a everyday look and as the perfect work wear. With a brown leather bag over her shoulder caring all her belongings and a long necklace you don't need anymore accessories.  At the arrival she wore long white dress trousers, that's also possible.

Despite the rain she was stunning dressed when she attended a private dinner for his father-in-laws 75th birthday. The outstanding Hugo Boss dress in the lovely A-shape, with the most amazing beige accessories. By adding a large brown belt and Miu Miu peep-toe pumps to the look she was really sophisticated. A patent beige Prada handbag and her beige Burberry trench coat she was ready to take the scene in private. It is a feminine and still casual outfit. Differently something to try yourself.

No doubt that 2008 and 2009 were the best years for Mary when it comes to clothes. Really, I can't tell you why her style was very significant. Today this is still her greatest inspiration for me. Here we have one of those looks that has inspired my the most. Frederik and her were on a trip to Australia with Christian and Isabella, at that time their only two kids. She wore dark boot-cut jeans with suede navy blue wedges in the same blue colour as her cardigan. With simple gold Marianne Dulong earrings she finished off her Australian-look! Let this be the last picture to inspire you.

It was a smily Crown Princess who arrived to Tversted beach in the North of Jutland with her new lady-in-waiting, Christine Pii Hansen. Have to say she looks like a really sweet woman. I look forward to see her next to Mary in the future. Don't you? Mary also gave some time to talk to many of the Danes who had come to see her and a few of them even got the chance to have a picture with her. This is really why I love her so much, she often only have one hour to do all this when she's on a job and still she takes the time to talk to and meet people. Lately I think her style has change a bit, nothing bad about that I still like what she's wearing and how. Am I the only one who's having this thought? Think about the white and golden look from the Reumert Award 2015 yesterday - her looks are more modern with less accessories.

Her skiny legs was wearing plain black trousers, I have a similar pair and wear them all the time they match everything and it's great for both your everyday outfit and evening. Mary is also a fan of black trousers and I recommend that you purchase a pair. When you have them you gonna love them. She added a brand new blouse with the sweet print of strawberries! Me and several other Mary-lovers haven't been able to identify the designer of her new blouse so I think we need your help now. Look forward to hear your ideas so we're able to find the right one. The navy blue jacket has been seen before and is still without identification. She has a similar one from Moncler. Her powder pink earrings is an old model made by Marianne Dulong. When it became cold a the beach she grabbed her wonderful light brown poncho. We saw her in it when she and the family visited Greenland 2014

I was a bit surprised when I saw her new shoes, not sure I like them. The width white sole I totally a no-go for me. Reminds me too much of 80s platform shoes. They are differently new and maybe they are from By Malene Birger? Leave a comment and let me know what you think.

To swim is a wonderful thing, in the big blue ocean. It's a thing we all need to know how to do and that's why it's important we have some to take care of us if anything should happen when we're out for a swim. A few months ago Mary attended the opening of the new project Everyone Should Learn to Swim in Kildeskovhallen also in collaboration with the Danish Swimming Federation. Therefor we need lifeguards close to us when we are on the beach. The importance of the lifeguards is also the reason why Mary attended the inauguration of a new lifeguard tower at Tversted beach. With a bucket of sea water the new lifeguard are now open. The water replaced the champagne which usual are use when something like a boat is inaugurated by the royals.

The Reumert Award 2015

Sunday, June 21

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended this year's Reumert Award show 2015 which took place in Skuespilhuset, Copenhagen.

Reumert Award, what is that?
The Reumert Award was established by Bikubenfonden in 1998. The aim is to focus on live performing art in Denmark, to honor some of the Danish artists and arouse the interest for live theater. The award contains 26 various categories given to; actors, singers, dancers etc. and stage designers such as the talent award. This year the Reumert Awards are given for the 17th time.

... and the winners are:

Dress like a royal, arrive like a royal, behave like a royal.

It was a bit of an unusual show this year. It has become kind of a tradition for me to watch the broadcast of the Reumert Award, something I have been doing quite few years and I really enjoy it - or I use to. This year's show was... a bit laud, chaotic and... different. This might be the best way for me to describe how last night's show was. I use to like to see the broadcast because it is a great way to see and hear all about past year in the world of art, good for those of us who do not have the chance to attend such live theaters. It is a fantastic world to see, hear and feel. But the way it was presented last night I'm a quite embarrassed on behalf of the performing art and artist in Denmark. My personal opinion is that you have, as hosts, the duty to make a decent show/performance when the royal attend. The felling I had last night was non of this, yes the couple behaved decent and laughed when something seemed to be fun. It was kinda embarrassing. The final thing I need to say about this show is that I do not hope they'll repeat the "success" next year.

I helped one of my colleagues at Royalista this morning in the findings of her outfit which differently is a great way to starts a day and when all this are said about the show I have to say I was amazed by the look of Mary in her white and old clothes! Reminded me of her diva glittering look from when she and Frederik attended the Eurovision Song Contest in Denmark last year, 2014. Well it might be because of the kimono, last year's hottest trend was kimonos and one of the best designers to create these are Rabens Saloner (Spring/Summer S13) which also is the designer of the long ivory embroidered kimono she wore. It was identified by Kate with the information from Rabens Saloner's Facebook page, here. The white maxi dress is still a mystery to me, I like it a lot actually, but were it's from I can't tell. Not even the design gives a clue who the designer is. So please let me hear from you if you have just a guess or might have been able to find the exact same. You know, you're always welcome to write to me, any mail is appreciated. Enough about the unknown dress.

Because I was helping my colleagues I had the time and chance to find her, new, golden glitter pumps as well. I identified them as Gianvito Rossi which does not surprise me at all. It seems to be her favourite shoe designer these days and let's be honest - he really create some gorgeous shoes! To me he's as good as Christian Louboutin. It would really have been great to show you some pictures from the show, unfortunately that's not possible you just have to see them in the links above. To make her shine, even more, she added the most stunning golden accessories to her outfit. We all know the Queen Earrings worn by her I think at two other events before this. I have then myself and they are SO MAGNIFICENT! The gold ring on her finger is a leaves ring from Ole Lynggaard and of course we have the snake clutch by Judith Leiber.

Reading Campaign + Exhibition at Brandts

Friday, June 19

12:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of the Danish children's libraries common reading campaign The Summer Book (Sommerbogen) at Odense Library.

What is the Summer Book all about?
The Summer Book is a project which encourage kids to find the fun in reading at the same time it is a competition for all kids in the age of 7 to 14 years old. It runs from June 19 till August 22. To be a part of the competition the children have to read at least three books and write or film a review on Pallesgavebod.dk. This year a school class is able to take part in the competition and that class who manage to read most books is visited by Jacob Riising, writer and entertainer. Let the reading begin!

1:00 pm. Crown Princess Mary visited the exhibition Danish Fashion Now at Brandts in Odense.

Haven't we heart about Danish Fashion Now before?
You probably have. Maybe in a little different context, because in Match I informed you that Crown Princess Mary had chosen to actually participate in a exhibition or 10 of her Danish designed dresses were at Brandts in Odense. The Danish Fashion Now is more a snapshot of the Danish designers we have, for the Danes to be proud of the magnificent creative sense we have. To show Danish fashion through time and a tribute to fashion. See all her 10 dresses here and read more about the exhibition here.

I was so happy to see her wear colours again, when it is spring and summer the time is up for bright and light colours especially pastel which we often get to see Mary in this time a year. Unfortunately, the weather is nothing to celebrate. Really, it's raining all the time and I believe I'm not the only Danish woman who would do everything to wear dresses, sandals and sleeveless tops. It's just not the case. We have to deal with rubber boots, rain coats and scarves. Everyone wishes for a better summer than the one we have right now.

The bad weather is by no doubt the reason for Mary's choice of clothes - the long sleeves and boring colour. I only say that because at this time a year she use to wear eye-catching clothes featuring bright colours and prints which I miss. I still admire her having bare legs at a day like this. Today's outfit is one to take notice of if you like the work/business wear. Personally this is the style I like and always wear; a shirt, pencil skirt and a blazer are great to create any basic wardrobe. You can wear it both day and night with any accessory. Today's outfit is pretty easy for any of you to copy. First of all there is the matt silk blouse featuring a black hemline, Mary's has been identified by Kate as JOSEPH. My great thanks to her for the help to find the new wonderful blouse! The black hemline give the blouse a feminine and classic touch, another great things is a it's possible to match it with both skirts and trousers for everyday and evening. It almost not get any more classy and stylish then wearing this new blouse with a pleated textured A-line skirt. Kate is also the one who identified the new skirt from Whiite Copenhagen, a brand we have never seen Mary wearing before. Actually JOSEPH match it with a pleated skirt at their website! The super luxurious black patent pumps I think is her Rupert Sanderson

When you are dedicated to Mary and her fashion you might also have a love for fashion in general.
Every decade have their own trend we remember, their own style to remember. Because there is so much attention to the fashion these days and because there's so so many different designers I think it's a bit difficult to find this decades trends. It changes all the time, year after year. One thing to mention is the simplicity. Simplicity is the what makes outfits these days. Less is more. The reason why I mention this is because of the modern and simple look Mary was dressed in also when it comes to her choice of jewellery. She only wore a silver Marianne Dulong featuring a large white pearl. So beautiful.

I would really like to hear what you think of today's outfit! Is it a go or a no-go?

A wedding is always worth waiting for and a royal wedding even more - if you are royalist like most of us are. What a magnificent wedding with stunning dresses, flowers everywhere and tiaras. Weddings are magical, a specific atmosphere you hardly can describe. I'm sure you're feel the same way, it's a part of the game when being a royalist. Am I right? Most of you probably were cleaned to the screen to follow when the guests arrived, when we first saw the groom and of course the excitement to see the bride in her wonderful wedding gown, long veil and flawless makeup. What a moment when Miss Sofia walked down the aisle was what all of us had waited for. With slow and well balanced steps she walked next to her father to Prince Carl Philip, who soon would become her husband. For every step she took was a step closer to a entire new world as Princess Sofia of Sweden, Duchess of Värmland. A sweet moment which will be remembered in many years.

At the wedding Frederik and Mary represented Denmark, such as Queen Margrethe who in fact wore a stunning red gown the same as at her 75th birthday gala dinner. Great to see Denmark's Queen in an age of 75 years old and still wear a red gown, that's style. Prince Joachim and Princess Marie did also attend, Marie was dressed in a slim greenish fitted gown wearing her wedding tiara. We simply have some very good looking royal women in Denmark. Let's go back to our Mary.

I really hoped that we would see something new, a new glamorous gown and we did! The most dazzling gown I think we have seen in quite some years. According to Billed Bladet her magnificent gown is created by Birgit Hallstein. I hope to be able to confirm it. Here I want to thanks all you who have given me the info about this dress! It features a wide, high neckline and a low V-neck on her back and a pretty long train which was only seen on very few dresses. At the front lace work have been added down the dress. The fitted shape of a classic 50s dress gave her slim waist all attention and the light blue colour is great next to her brown hair and porcelain skin. She wore the Swedish Order with the Order Star from her right shoulder to left side hip. The great reader Heaven with the good eyes suggest that her silver glitter pumps, matching the new clutch, might be from Gianvito Rossi and I think that's absolutely right. Thanks for your help! Then Heaven also gave me an idea about the new silver clutch, it made me start the search to find the right one as well. A few minutes later I found what I'm sure is her clutch from J. Furmai. Probably never worn of her before.

As many other guests at the wedding, Mary wore a silver square clutch. Her outfit became even more gorgeous with the two Marianne Dulong pearl bracelet and her wedding earrings. A little wedding from her own big day back in 2004. I'm also amazed by her beautiful hairdo with the diamonds hairpiece, for me it's new but it could be inherited. I literally can't stop staring at the pictures of the couple; Frederik in his traditional black suit wearing all his medals and Mary in a elegant blue gown with her wedding jewellery on. A wedding to remember!

On behalf of Styleofmary and all its readers I would like to wish the happy couple a all the best in the future and from Denmark a congratulation is now said!!

Tip: to you who did not get to see the broadcast The Royal Jewels (De Kongelige Juveler) then you have the chance once again, there are two episodes in Danish. If you haven't seen them, I would recommend you to see them. Find both episodes here. Enjoy a little time in company with the royal jewelry!

The loss of a dear friend

It is with sadness in my voice and heart I write this. Yesterday I was given the news that one of my dearest friends Boryana Nesheva passed away. Me and Boryana have known each other for quite some years because of our shared passion for royals and fashion. This brought of together. We have had such great moments together, the royal world will not the the same without her. I already miss sharing fashion news with her, finding pictures of jewellery and have a chat with her. Even though I have never had the chance to met Boryana in person, she was very close to me. She gave the everyday a sparkle and made one smile. She was a very thoughtful and caring woman, whom which I'll miss so much in my work with the royals and personally. I know I'm not the only one to miss her.

The thing is; when you're a royalist you tend to hide it from the people close to you because they might not understand why you feel such passion and when you enter the community with hundreds of other royal-lovers you become close to these people and they come close to you. Like a family. Or at least that's how I feel. This I why the loss of Boryana feels like losing a family member to me, it is just not the same without her. I'm so sure she would want us to keep up our passion and enlarge the family. She had the greatness of gathering members together and let then share their fascination.

Boryana had the illness muscle dystrophy and it came as a shock to all of us because she was actually getting better. But a little sickness did this to her. Unfortunately, people having muscle dystrophy are not allow to live that long. If any of her family members will every read this, I want them to know I fell with them such as many others. She was a terrific girl!

Because this news was given to me yesterday evening, I decided to light a candle and give her a minute of silence in memory of a dear and loved friend. With all my heart I hope you'll show her the last moment of respect and maybe light a candle for her like I did. Thank you.

Samsø: The New Princess Isabella

Saturday, June 6

Crown Princess Mary and Princess Isabella visited Samsø for Isabella to named the new ferry Princess Isabella in Sælvig Harbour. Mother and daughter did also visit Samsø Bær (Samsø Berries) and Samsø Naturskole (Samsø Natur School). This was Princess Isabella's first official job.

The two royal ladies were welcomed to Samsø with all what it takes to have a royals visit. They arrived a little after noon for Princess Isabella to name their new ferry by her own name Princess Isabella. The little lady did a great job and was, as her mother, relaxed and smily. On every photo to find Mary looks so happy and seems so proud of her daughter, she was handling the entire situation with her natural person and smily face. Even though this was an official event, I think we saw the opposite of a normal official visit. Nothing was too formal. I'm sure mom and daughter had a great day together; the big moment of Isabella's first job which are remembered forever by the press' photos, picking strawberries together at a field and we got to see them both dress in waders walking in waters to the middle of the body - what a sight!

Mary was well-dressed as usual. I'm so thrilled to see her in some colours again, bright pastel colours perfectly to the spring and the great sunny weather at Samsø. With a magnificent mix of colours, Mary made me think that I might need to buy myself a white blazer... Always thought it looks great but now I'm convinced, no doubt about that at all. It's added to my wish list. Mary's has been idefitied by Krap Ennazuz as Alexander McQueen. To match that she wore this gorgeous new dusty pink blouse from Marni. The ID was made by Royals & Fashion! I instantly fell in love with the colour and shape, goes so well with the white blazer and black trousers; draws the attention the her upper body. As a mother you sometimes need a quick, easy and practical hairdo (I do not speak of experience) and the classic ponytail hairdo is the thing. Everybody can do them and even its that simple it gives the outfit a brand new look. Remember, sometimes it is about the small details. When we are talking about detail, I'll lead your attention to her choose of accessories. Let's start with earrings and the two rings on her finger because all three are designed by the Danish jewellery designer Marianne Dulong. Made her look so feminine! For the third or fourth time I think I mention her wearing a little colourful, maybe beadwork, bracelet on right arm. First time I noticed it in on their visit to Germany. Might be a gift, made by one of her girls or bought somewhere I haven't found yet. All three are possible. Then we only have the shoes left, no bag for this event. By a coincidence I found a similar model in a magazine from Danish shoe designer Yvonne Koné and I'm 100% sure it's the same as Mary's with with a higher heel.

I'm sure I am not the ply one who wondered where the little bead bracelet is from Mary is wearing. We saw it on her the first day in Germany about a month ago, well at least I have and now it has been identified by Diana as Anni Lu. She was also the one who identified Mary's powder pink from Wuth Cashmere.

By no doubt Isabella are going to embrace her mothers amazing style, she was even dressed in her own little pastel blue blazer matching her mom. With a Norlie ruffle blouse and dark trousers which might be from the same designer, she was so cute. I think some of you might find it as interesting to find Isabella's clothes as Mary's and actually more of Isabella's outfit has been identified then her mother's, with the help from a great reader, Krap Ennazuz we now know that her blue blazer is from Zara Kids and ballet flats from Petit by Sofie Schnoor. If it's possible for you to find a photo of the Princess' braided hair then I think you should. Mary's hairdresser might have used his magic to create this wonder and finishing it up with a blue flower. She was dazzling with the ballet flats.

Like she was the sun, Mary arrived to the Parliament in the morning with her husband Frederik next to her. I always have the feeling, when I see the first pictures of Mary from a recent event, that she can't be more beautiful when we see her again. Every single time I'm wrong. She surprises my every time with her beauty. Her natural beauty, porcelain face, light skin and pastel colours she stole my heart with todays outfit.

The anniversary is quite important for us to celebrate, in Denmark as well as internationally. What we are celebration is what your ancestors fought for; the right for women to vote. 1915 was the year when the Danish women got the chance to vote in politic. Today we take it more or less for granted, because we got used to have this right but or great-grandmothers and great-great grandmothers gave us this opportunity. This is a fair way to celebrate what they did for themselves and their children's future. Within a few weeks we are going to vote for the next government and when I make my vote, my thoughts goes to those who made this possible.

... I just had to share this sentimental moment with you

For Mary I also think this is a huge celebration of woman's rights, something she works hard with to give more woman and children these simple rights. Next year, 2016, one of the biggest conferences are coming to Denmark - Women Deliver where Mary will have the role as host. This is a great start.

Now a little fashion-excitment! She was dressed in some good old things, I'm so pleased to see again.  At the coronation of King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima in April 2013 you right remember that she was in her white gown designed by Charlotte Lynggaard, no she's not wearing that gown but she's wearing the exact same light blue hairpiece such as in June 2013 when she and Princess Benedikte attended the CHIO in Germany. It has never been identified. Let's for a moment stay at the opening of CHIO in Germany because not only the headpiece was worn today. Mary matched the blue headpiece with the same aquamarine blue earrings and the masterpiece of a dress! With the some kind help from YDE Copenhagen it has now official been confirmed that todays dress is in fact designed and made especially for Mary. So Ole Yde is the designer. The grey gloves matched her BOSS clutch. The white coat and beautifully made hairdo made her outfit elegant and feminine. Then we are ended up by only have the t-strap shoes left. As you know I have been looking day and night to identify these shoes and after several mislead I was able to find the right designer!! Can you believe it, this was the absolute last designer I would contact and was sure it was the wrong one. I'm so thrilled! Her shoes is new from the Fall-Winter 2015/16 collection of Pura López

100 Years of Anniversary with the Constitution

Thursday, June 4

Crown Prince Frederik and Crown Princess Mary attended with the Parliament and Government of the celebration of 100 years of anniversary for women to vote; 1915-2015. The celebration took place at the Tivoli Hotel and Congress Centre in Copenhagen. The Queen, Prince Joachim and Princess Marie did also attended the celebration.

Late yesterday night I went to Getty Images to find a pictures from some other event and the first thing that hit me on the screen was in fact a few new photos of Mary and Frederik attending the 100 years anniversary celebrated in Copenhagen with other royal family members. Even though I was a completely lost and so tired I just had to show the latest news with all of you. Nothings better when you find an unexpected post, at least that's what I think. So I stayed up for half an hour and made a quick and unfinished post - you know, you can sleep when you get old (; Now it's time for a real post, complete and finished.

Another reason why I was eager to write the post last new was because of her wearing a brand new floral dress! In the most wonderful dark pink and ivory colour. For you who have follow me here at Styleofmary for some time, you might know that I just need to try to find all the new stuff she's wearing (know I sounds obsessed, I'm not - or maybe a little bit...?) Several blogs have spoken little critical about the new dress, that's fair! Now I feel it's my time to tell what I think; I love it. That's how simple I can express myself. The pattern makes the dress beautiful and the colours gives the sense a evening outfit need. The beautiful shape makes her look slim and tall. So pretty. Me and a great friend began the search to find this little wonder. Can't take the credit for this one Kate was the lucky one - this time - to identify the dress as Burberry Prorsum which actually surprised me.

The sparkling gold earrings with the gold and diamond pendant we all know comes from the Danish jewellery designer Marianne Dulong. I would say an iconic design for Dulong. I was thrilled to see her wearing the beige rockstud Valentino pumps again. It is two years since we have seen them, more specific on a trip to Australia in 2013. My personal fashion-dream is to own a pair of these Valentino shoes and Winged Pumps by Gianvito Rossi. Well, that might have to wait a few more years... The last thing to identify is the pink satin clutch, of course it's from Bottega Veneta.
